March at High Noon
This majestic piece tells the story of a well-traveled path. The sharp detail in the foreground symbolizes the importance of memories and the matriarch's guiding presence. The deliberate, purposeful movement of the elephants in a single line embodies a shared sense of purpose—a rite of passage from the past into the future. As the trail extends, the elephants in the background are subtly blurred, reflecting the passage of time and the collective experiences shared by the herd. This artwork highlights the vital role of adult females in protecting, nurturing, and sustaining the communal life of elephant family units, enhancing the survival of their calves.
This ritualistic quality resonates with my own process as an artist. Just as the elephants move with purpose, I express the skills learned over the years, creating visual stories that connect emotionally with viewers. It is a rhythm of life, translating memories and mastery into art that speaks across time and space.
